About Gene Fleming, President Travel became my lifestyle as a youth. I lived abroad in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia -- was an "oil brat", my dad worked for Standard Oil in El Segundo, CA. Exploring the neighboring regions and countries became a favorite pastime that got me hooked on travel and intrigued with aviation. The diversity of cultures, foods, and scenery was fascinating and adventurous. These travel experiences gave me an in-depth understanding of global travel issues and policies that fostered my career in the travel industry since 1978, and inspired me to establish CGC in 1990. I've immensely enjoyed sharing my acquired knowledge of global travel to enhance the travel experiences of many clients and friends.
